Research and Development

The Group's 350 researchers work on developing new solutions for every stage in water cycle management.

They work in the following areas:

• managing water systems;

• protecting resources;

• recycling wastewater;

• treating biosolids;

• process water;

• industrial and municipal wastewater;

• new analysis methods;

• standard facilities for large scale consumption.

Veolia Water's research and development works with that of Veolia Environnement in those areas which also affect the waste (Veolia Environmental Services), and energy (Dalkia) divisions of the Group.

These areas of synergy are as follows:

• eliminating micropolluants;

• developing processes for the disinfection of water;

• managing networks;

• developing membrane processes;

• treating and eliminating biosolids.
