25-year O&M contract for 2 wastewater treatment plants
Qingdao Project
Signed in November 2003 in partnership with the municipal utility Qingdao Drainage Company and the Everbright Group, this 25-year O&M contract covers the operation of two wastewater treatment plants in the coastal city of Qingdao.
The contract includes the increase in capacity of one of the plants (Maidao), from 80,000m3 to 140,000m3 per day.
The project is part of the 2008 Olympic Games preparation work being carried out by the city of Qingdao, which will be the site of the nautical events during the Olympics.
